The year that was

Only a few days into the new year and I cannot help but reflect on the year that was. 2011 was a great year for me both professionally and personally. The highlight must be the the greatest joy of my life, my daughter Alexandria's birth. Nicole and I couldn't be happier. There's a funny story about the birth but I'll save that for another time.

I also completed my BA ICT at the University of the Sunshine Coast. It was a difficult and mind taxing journey but definitely worth it in the end. University is an experience I highly recommend to anyone at any age. All that and a multitude of gigs including dozens of weddings. I got to play support for The Radiators and Daryl Braithwaite as well as fulfilling my role as wedding musician and singer on some of the most beautiful beaches and mountain views Queensland has to offer. I feel truly blessed as I bid farewell to 2011 and welcome in 2012.

I already have dozens of weddings booked this year so I'm looking forward to meeting plenty of couples embarking on their life together.Daryl Brathwaite and Marty Sima

New CD

I'm currently in pre-production for my new acoustic and original music CD.  With the new home studio almost fully set up, I’m looking forward to some quality recording time in the new year.  The new songs are written and ready to go! There are also some partly-finished songs which I’m hoping will complete themselves during the recording process.  We’ll see what happens.

Stay tuned for release details.
